Things I would Never Tell Someone

You will never know how much you annoy me
Kind of like your hair—frizzy and complicated—
its complicated I know.

Desperation isn’t a good look for you.
You are whorish impatient. I never signed up to play actor in your horror series of toxic relationships
I wish you could stop associating dick for your holy grail.

Why is it when men communicate boundaries—respectfully—
We ain’t met with the same respect we were supposed to give?

Did you notice back then how I didn’t kiss back or get a rise out of us?
When forced to engage with you I had to picture someone else
Don’t nymphomaniac yourself onto me because you lonely
Physicalities have no purpose here. Childhood friends should remain as such.
Or how about we talk about how dudes get trapped in sexual
situations because they afraid to lose their jobs, got to jail, or
have a bundle of court cases/expenses for refusing someone
that’s interesting to them if they ever are alone with ‘em.

Title IV/rape
claims got a heavy burden on ‘em.
One day I hope you realize you are more than push-up bras
More than the primordial urges of lust and eros
More than snapshot memories in parents living rooms
And quiet car quickies in backseats of cars
That you are worth more than guy who shattered your first-time—
Left you hanging— and finished himself off in the bathroom.
Pick up the broken pieces of you left in that bathroom sink Complete your own puzzle again.
You don’t need Somebody just for the sake of having somebody
‘cause baby-girl… dick ain’t the answer to everything.
