When they tell you over and over and over
about their feelings and guilt trip you about
how bad they feel.
Continue to be quiet.
Let them talk to themselves through their own therapy.
Don’t try to talk them through it.
They are already tired of
your voice.
There is no room for you to share your own.
They don’t want to feel it.
They want to project and dump
their worries on you so they walk away without the wreckage.
Read me and take this into your core. It is okay to feel.
It is okay to heal.
The sad part now is for them to realize
they will be doing it without you.
They neglected you, discredited you, and didn’t value you because they were
too busy in their own world to realize any significance in yours.
