Ted Lasso Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, Cast, and Everything To Know About

Welcome to coming attractions! This series is where I’ll be analyzing a trailer for a TV show and let you know why I’m excited or nervous about the show! This will also allow you to get excited about the show and give you a chance to read up on the show or catch up on seasons you missed! TV shows are starting to get more and more trailers so thankfully getting sneak previews is becoming increasingly common for TV shows!

Our inaugural trailer to get you excited is Ted Lasso season three!

What is Ted Lasso about?

Ted Lasso tells the story of our title character, played by Jason Sudeikis, as he becomes the head coach of AFC Richmond, a Premier League football club. As an American who only has experience coaching college American football, Ted has to navigate cultural differences, internal sabotage, and a steep learning curve to win the respect and heart of the team.

Where and when can I watch Ted Lasso?

The first two lessons of Ted Lasso are streaming on Apple TV+ and season three premiers on March 15th, 2023.

Where is the story currently (Spoilers ahead)?

AFC Richmond has been promoted to the Premier League and is now charging ahead with their upcoming season. Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is conflicted about what to do about her love life now that Sam (Toheeb Jimoh) is staying put after flirting with leaving the club. Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley (Juno Temple) are left on a cliffhanger with their relationship. Nate (Nick Mohammed) is now the coach of a rival team, owned by Rupert (Anthony Head), after a major falling out with Ted.

What’d we see in the trailer?

Honestly, nothing plotwise HOWEVER we’re steering into the Believe mindset more than they ever have before. I like this trailer because it was a great way to reintroduce everyone and get everyone back on board. Many of the characters, particularly the players, got a chance to shine. I can’t choose which Believe poster is my favorite among everyone.

Why am I/you should be excited about Ted Lasso season three?

IT’S TED LASSO! It’s that good and is easily Apple TV+’s best show. The stakes have never been higher with all the characters in a place to make a championship-level run. I’m looking forward to seeing how everything progresses with Nate being in the spotlight as a head coach and the head-to-head he will inevitably have with Ted. I’m curious to see how Ted handles his anxiety and how the players rally around him. Finally, if this is perhaps the end of the road for Ted Lasso (the creators have always indicated that three seasons were all they were going to do), I’m also wondering how this will end.
