Welcome to Coming Attractions! This series is where I’ll be analyzing a trailer for a TV show and let you know why I’m excited or nervous about the show! This will also allow you to get excited about the show and give you a chance to read up on the show or catch up on seasons you missed! TV shows are getting more and more trailers so thankfully getting sneak previews is becoming increasingly common for TV shows!

What is Barry about?
Barry is about hitman Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) who, on a routine assignment in Southern California, discovers he has an interest in acting. He signs up for a theater class, taught by Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler). He befriends all the people in his class while trying to avoid his past.
Where and when can I watch Barry?
Barry seasons one through three are currently streaming on HBO Max. Season four will premiere on Sunday, April 16th, 2023.
Where is the story currently (Spoilers ahead)?
The end of Barry season three has a lot to process. Gene and Janice’s father conspire to bring Janice’s (Paula Newsome) killer to justice. After his encounter with the motocross gang, a member comes to kill Barry but attempts to kill Sally (Sarah Goldberg). She kills him in a fit of rage and frustration about how her life is going. NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan) finds Cristabol (Michael Irby) tortured by his wife. Hank rescues him, seeing it as their chance to be together. Barry is arrested at the end of the season and is led to jail to pay for his crimes.
What’d we see in the trailer?
Barry is losing his grip on reality in jail and is appealing to Gene. Fuches (Stephen Root) is attempting to reconnect with Barry. Sally is struggling with herself after what happened in season three. NoHo Hank looks concerned as well.
Why am I/you should be excited about Barry season four?
Barry was one of my favorite shows of last year and one of HBO’s best comedies. Hader and Winkler are giving their best performances and the show deserves all the praise it receives. It’s almost unfair that Barry, Ted Lasso, and Succession are all premiering in April. Barry also joins this already stacked group because it’s the series’ final season. Now, I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to Barry. Is Barry going to have justice brought to him for all the crimes he’s done? What about everyone else? There’s a lot to wrap up for season four so I’ll be watching eagerly to find out what happens.
