Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny: Trailer, Release Date, Cast, Plot & Everything We Know About!

Who is ready to get excited by some movies? Expectations and hype can be strong forces in the cinematic experience. The trailers, the rumors, the early reviews…these all can do wonders when it comes to getting people excited for a new film release. For this upcoming weekend, we have a few reasons you should be excited about this film coming your way… Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

One Last Ride into the Sunset

Why shouldn’t you be excited to run out and see the finale to one of the greatest and most influential adventure film series of all time? Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull left a bad taste in the mouths of many people. Knowing that we are getting one last ride with Harrison Ford as Indie is exciting. It will certainly be interesting how they handle his advanced age and the time travel that is promised in the flick. But knowing that this is Indiana Jones’ last adventure means that there is weight and finality to the proceedings that can only be experienced once.

The New Additions

We love Indie but we love his companions along the way too, right? Phoebe Waller-Bridge being brought on to co-write and co-star is an exciting prospect thanks to her incredible work on Fleabag. For me personally, Antonio Banderas is just one of the best additions you can possibly make to any franchise. His unique brand of charisma and magnetism is a gem worth tossing into almost any project. Toby Jones is always a delight on screen, and it seems like we will get to see him adventuring alongside the de-aged Ford. But it is acclaimed Danish actor and expert cinematic villain, Mads Mikkelsen, who is the real exciting piece to be slotted in.

James Mangold

Who can possibly replace Steve Spielberg for Indiana Jones? You need a director who has a good sense of action and adventure. You need a director who has a style that would fit perfectly in a classic Hollywood style of filmmaking. You need a director who has a pedigree that can stand on their own next to Spielberg. We are in luck! James Mangold fits the bill. The filmography of Mangold is impressive, and he is one of the few directors out there who can capture the wonder and magic of old-school cinema that is needed for this nostalgic style adventure.

Harrison Ford

Is this just another big paycheck and easy return to an older character for Ford? It could be…but there is a big reason to get excited about Ford right now. He is doing some of his best work ever in series like Shrinking and 1923. His work is top-notch right now and it is an exciting prospect to see him transition that fire and excitement into one of his most iconic roles.
