What is Our Flag Means Death?
Our Flag Means Death is a show about pirates where wannabe pirate Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) has a fateful encounter with Blackbeard (Taika Waititi) that changes the course of both of their lives.
Where and when can I watch Our Flag Means Death?
Our Flag Means Death season one is currently streaming on Max (for the record, I still hate that name). Season two will premiere on Max on Thursday, October 5th, 2023.
What’d we see in the trailer?
Sad Blackbeard! After what happens in season one, Blackbeard is enraged and lashing out with more plundering and violence. Stede is coming into his own as a pirate (I think) and the moment we all want to see is teased: when Stede and Blackbeard will meet again.
Why I am/you should be excited about Our Flag Means Death season two?
Funny pirates or not, I’m rooting for Stede and Blackbeard to reconcile their differences. Their dynamic together was outstanding and I’m looking forward to more from both Darby and Waititi as well.
