Welcome to Coming Attractions! This series is where I’ll be analyzing a trailer for a TV show and let you know why I’m excited or nervous about the show! This will also allow you to get excited about the show and give you a chance to read up on the show or catch up on seasons you missed! TV shows are starting to get more and more trailers so thankfully getting sneak previews is becoming increasingly common for TV shows!
Our latest trailer is Up Here!
What is Up Here about?
Up Here is the story of a couple, Lindsey (Mae Whitman) and Diego (David Jake Rodriguez) in New York City. Lindsey has ambitions to be a writer and when she meets Diego, both of their inner voices attempt to help steer them in the right direction. Together they navigate the waning days of 1999 and discover their greatest obstacle to achieving happiness is each other.
Where and when can I watch Up Here?
The series can be streamed on Hulu and releases on March 24th, 2023. The series will be eight episodes and the entire series will be dropped all at once.
What’d we see in the trailer?
IT’S A MUSICAL! I was just telling a friend recently that there aren’t enough musicals on television so this was good timing! We see great jokes and physical comedy. Lindsey and Diego both have three inner voices that guide them throughout the course of their relationship.
Why am I/you should be excited about Up Here?
Not only is Up Here a musical but the talent assembled for this has me intrigued. The screenwriter for tick, tick…boom!, the director of Hamilton, and the songwriter of The Book of Mormon are involved. I adore all of these musicals so I’m extremely excited about this. Whitman is easily the big draw for the cast but I’m excited to see what Rodriguez, who I’ve only seen in Moonk Knight, brings to the table.
